Q: What kind of leather do you use?

A: All of our leather options are listed on the website. The most commonly used leathers are fromHermann Oak and Badalassi Carlo.

 

Q: Where do you get your leather?

A: Rocky Mountain Leather Supply and Weaver Leather.

Q: Is your leather vegetable tanned?

A: Yes.

​

Q: What kind of oil and wax do you use?

A: Mink oil and a combination of natural biodegradable waxes, mostly beeswax.

Q: Why do you use oil and wax?

A: I use oil is because it makes leather more durable. I use wax because it makes the leather glossy and makes it more water resistance.

 

Q: How thick is your leather? 

A: I use 3 oz. (minimum) for pockets and 5-6 oz. on the shell exterior

Q: How long will my Bennington wallet or accessory last? 

A: In most cases, a lifetime (or longer).

Bennington Leather Quality

We use a variety of leathers, mainly
vegetable tanned, pull-up and oil tanned.
The main brands of leather we use are Hermann Oak and Badalassi Carlo. We use the best brands & materials from around the world, such as “Ritza tiger thread” for sewing the edges. All finished products and dyes are made by Fiebings and the edge paint is from Vernis.

 

Payment and Shipping

For in-stock items, please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. For custom orders,* please allow 5-6 weeks for delivery. If something is on back-order, or we're experiencing a high volume of orders, we will reach out to you with an expected delivery date. 

*All Bennington Leather products are made by hand.

​Returns & Refunds

We offer a lifetime warranty and all sales are final. If something breaks, send us pictures and we can determine if it's repairable. We want you to be happy with the item you purchased. The things we cannot repair are due to wear & tear or negligence.

If you are unhappy with your item and it is sent back within 5-7 days of delivery, in new condition, we will provide you with a full refund, excluding shipping & handling.
